Shroom with a View.
This delicate fungus forms glimmering clusters along fallen logs. Reminiscent of tiny jellyfish, its translucent cap has a faint otherworldly shimmer. Though small and common, itβs prized as a local delicacy for its texture and cooling umami-rich flavor.
Jellyfish mushrooms thrive in consistently moist, shaded habitats and are most visible in the early morning where the moon and sun commune. They bruise easily, and once picked, must be used quickly before they dissolve into a jelly-like pulp. Some fauns believe they absorb dreams from the forest floor - an old belief that still sees them being used in certain sleep-based teas.
