Little Lanterns, Big Charm.
This bushy perennial grows heart-shaped fruit pods that house bright red "cherries" within. These berries glow like burning lanterns when night falls on X-rich landscapes. Though it is able to be cultivated on specialty Veritam farms, it’s surprisingly resilient in the wild despite its picky nature in domestic care. The fruits are sweet but delicate, often used in teas or desserts. The outer husk dries to a papery shell, occasionally used in decorative garlands.
